Janette was born in Arizona where she attended Christian preschool, and by age 5, she prayed with her mom and dad to receive Jesus in her heart. Janette’s family relocated to California when her parents entered full time ministry with Campus Crusades for Christ. Janette grew up in the mountain communities where she attended Rim of the World H.S. and met her husband, John.

John & Janette were married in 2003 after she complete her college degree in English at UC Riverside. She began intern teaching English Language Arts at a junior high in San Bernardino. During this time, Janette earned her credential and MA in Education at Azusa Pacific University. The following years she taught 7th grade English, ELD, Jane Shaffer writing, and AVID elective at Moore Middle School in Redlands.

In 2010 God answered Janette & John’s prayers with the gift of their daughter Lily. In the years of waiting, Janette encountered God’s abounding grace. She devoted the next seven years as a stay-at-home mom, serving young mothers & their children in the playgroup and prayer ministry. Janette served in women’s ministry as a small group leader and speaker in the teaching rotation for women’s Bible study at The Packinghouse church, where she and her husband have attended for 15 years.

Blessed to have their daughter attend Wildwood Christian Academy, God called Janette to return to teaching. She is passionate about raising up the next generation, that they might testify to the gospel of grace and cultivate their spiritual gifts. Janette loves the creative arts, she enjoys adventures with her family, trying new foods, writing, and music.
